Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has served its community for 125 years with care characterized by its compassion, innovation and effectiveness.
Founded in 1898, Roswell Park was the world’s first center dedicated to cancer research, and remains the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in Upstate New York.
Our approach
From its 29-acre main campus in Buffalo, NY, and statewide through the Roswell Park Care Network, Roswell Park provides cancer patients access to the newest and most promising advancements in cancer diagnostics, technologies and care. Roswell Park pioneered today’s multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to cancer treatment, and annually cares for more than 46,000 patients from across the country and around the globe. Our center consistently earns patient-satisfaction scores that are among the highest in the country.
Roswell Park experts help set international standards for cancer care through leadership roles with organizations like the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Our team of 4,000 includes 360 clinical and research faculty members with a record of pioneering achievements in areas including immuno-oncology, cellular and gene therapies, genetics and genomics and population health.
The work of the Roswell Park team encompasses many different disciplines and approaches, all rooted in some aspect of how cancer affects our lives — and in how a solution today can lessen that impact tomorrow.
