Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Founded in 1947, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is committed to providing adults and children with cancer the best treatments available today, while leading the research to advance the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of cancer and related diseases. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Dana-Farber is a Comprehensive Cancer Center as designated by the National Cancer Institute and an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School.

Dana-Farber is a major center for clinical treatment, research, education and outreach to the community with special emphasis on reaching high risk and under-served populations. The Center employs over 6,500 professional and support staff, sees approximately 548,000 outpatient visits and infusion treatments per year and is involved in more than 1,000 clinical trials. Dana-Farber also extends its signature care to top community hospitals and oncology practices in the region through its Network.
