Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Who we are
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) has devoted more than 135 years to exceptional patient care, innovative research, and outstanding educational programs.
Today MSK is one of 52 National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, with state-of-the-art science flourishing side by side with clinical studies and treatment united by a singular purpose: to find a cure for cancer.
Our approach
Close collaboration between physicians and scientists is one of MSK’s unique strengths, enabling us to provide patients of all ages with the best care available even as more effective strategies to prevent, control, and ultimately cure cancer are developed.
MSK treats adults and children with all types of cancer. The medical staff encompasses over 1,400 attending physicians and more than 4,000 specially trained nurses with experience in oncology. Together, the medical team and support staff manage more than 26,000 surgical cases and over 700,000 outpatient visits for patients across locations in New York City and to MSK’s Regional Care Network with locations in Westchester County, Long Island, and New Jersey.
